Artist Bio
Zinmong Jacky Tang is a designer based in The Hague, alumni from the Graphic Design department of The Royal Academy (KABK) in The Hague.
Three topics that come together in Zinmong’s work are playfulness, a research-based approach and heritage. While involved in serious topics, his fondness for spirited expression runs through his work.
As a second generation immigrant from Chinese parents, he questions the themes of diaspora in a rich, yet tumultuous culture, by delving into methods of queering. Zinmong approaches design through different media. Mediums of interest include typography, book design, textile, illustration and audio-visuals. He often explores the topics of identity, queerness, culture heritage, visual systems and composition in his creative practice.
